Are you sick and tired of hiding your smile? Would you like to show off even, beautiful, bright white teeth?
Too many adults forego orthodontic treatment due to their reluctance to wear metal braces for two years or maybe longer. No one wants to commit to years of reduced discomfort and changed appearance.
Fortunately, Dr. Buchheit offers an innovative method for straightening teeth that don’t require a long-term contract with obvious metal hardware. Six Month Smiles is a highly effective method that allows patients to achieve the smile in their dreams in about a quarter of the time of traditional metal braces.
Six Month Smiles uses clear brackets and tooth-colored wires to move only the visible teeth. The teeth that you really want to look great are the ones that how when you speak, smile, and laugh. We improve their alignment to significantly change your overall appearance.
Six Month Smiles or conventional metal braces?
Six Month Smiles braces put a spin on the techniques of traditional orthodontics. Here are some things to consider when debating between Six Month Smiles and traditional braces:
Appearance: Six Month Smiles orthodontics are clear with tooth-colored wires, so they are far less noticeable than metal braces.
Comfort: Surprisingly, Six Month Smiles applies less force to the braces. It is less painful than conventional orthodontics, while actually moving the teeth faster.
Dental Condition: What are your dental needs? For patients who have a poor bite or complex orthodontic issues that require correction, conventional braces are the better option. For those who simply want a more beautiful smile, Six Month Smiles might be right for you!
Differences between Six Month Smiles and Invisalign
Both Invisalign and Six Month Smiles are clear braces, giving the patient confidence both during and after treatment! We are pleased to offer both Invisalign and Six Month Smiles clear braces at our practice, and we can sit down and help you decide which approach is right for you.
Six Month Smiles tends to be cheaper than Invisalign because it moves the visible teeth rather than all of them. It is also faster than Invisalign, requiring just 4-9 months treatment time, while Invisalign average treatment time is about one year.
Some patients prefer Invisalign aligners to traditional clear braces like Six Month Smiles. Invisalign is even less noticeable and easier to clean than Six Month Smiles.
There’s no better time to create a confident smile!

Actual Six Month Smiles Clear Braces Case
For 55 of my 62 years I have had crooked, overcrowded, and misaligned teeth. As a young person I was occasionally teased. As an adult, young children frequently asked me why my front tooth stuck out. Growing up, orthodontia wasn’t an option for me, so I accepted my dentition as just a part of me. October 2017 that changed when Dr. Buchheit introduced me to Six Month Smiles. He told me that I could have straight teeth and a new smile within 6-9 months. How could that even be possible after 55 years? In December 2017, Dr. Buchheit and Megan completed the work-up which included a computer-generated video of my prospective teeth movement. It was amazing watching my teeth move on the screen. Could that movement really happen? After watching the video and counseling with Dr. Buchheit and Megan I was certain that the process could make a positive difference. We began the process in January 2018. At the end of June 2018 my braces were removed. My first look in the mirror with no braces brought me to tears. I had anticipated that my teeth would look better, but I never dreamed that my teeth would look amazing. For the first time in 55 years, I don’t have protruding, overlapping front teeth drawing attention to my mouth. Now, because of my straight teeth, people only notice my amazing smile.
Thank you, Dr. Buchheit, Megan, and the rest of the staff for giving me a beautiful smile.
